Your TV will need a spare HDMI input or YPbPr input ... both very standard on most modern day TV sets, particularly plasmas, LCD's or LED's. Click on the images below to see examples ...
What you need to be able to connect MySmartTV to your own television set and receive free internet on your TV ...
Standard HDMI input on a TV ...
Standard YPbPr input on a TV ...
You will need a home broadband-ADSL internet connection which is connected to the internet through an internet service provider - for example Telstra Big Pond, Iinet, Dodo, Optus etc ...

Having an internet connection, you will also need a standard modem router. This can either be a standard unit that you plug an ethernet cable into, or one that has WiFi wireless connectivity, in which case your MySmartTv will be able to connect to it wirelessly with no cabling. If it has no antenna or antennas on it, it is probably a standard one. If it has one or more short whip antennas on it, it will be a WiFi wireless one.

If it is a standard non-wireless modem router, there will need to be a spare RJ45 ethernet socket on the back of it to plug the connecting network cable into. It will look something like the picture below ... click on it to enlarge ...
If there is no spare RJ45 ethernet socket on the back of your modem router, then an Ethernet Switch will be required so that the connecting ethernet cable can be plugged into the modem router. We can supply this if required at a cost of $45.00

If your modem router is a WiFi wireless type, and you will be using our home setup service where our technician comes to your home and connects and programs the MySmartTV for you, then we will need the access user name and password for your modem router. If you initially set up your internet connection and modem router yourself, this will usually be still at default, and we will be able to access it easily. However, if your modem router and internet connection was set up for you by an IT technician, then they may have set a security user name and password. You will need to check with whoever did this for you if this is the case.

Home installation service ...
Smart TV Australia offers its customers a home installation service within the Perth metropolitan area. We will send a technician to your home to connect your MySmartTV® to your television set, and then connect it to your existing internet modem router. If your modem router has wireless WiFi connectivity, they will setup and program your MySmartTV® for wireless internet connection. If your router does not have WiFi capability, then they will install a LAN ethernet cable between your router and the MySmartTV® module connected to your nominated television set.

Please note ... this cable will be installed loosely in a "patch cable" manner. It will be up to you to organise a cabling technician to install the cable through cavity walls, ceiling spaces etc to aesthetically conceal the cabling. This is because this exercise is a specialised job and is very time consuming. It cannot be done within the costing allowed for our mobile setup service ...

However, when our technician leaves your home your MySmartTV® will be connected to your television and internet and will be fully functioning. Our technician will also demonstrate to you the different functions and operating procedures of your MySmartTV® so again, when he leaves you will be fully familiar with how to work it and will be able to start enjoying a whole new entertainment viewing experience straight away.
